SCAM WARNING

GIFT CARD SCAM WARNING
Several of us have received emails that appear to be coming from other club members.  The email asks for you to purchase gift cards to be given to Veterans at Hospice and Palliative Care Units for the purpose of purchasing Covid-19 preventive items.

Please do not respond to this email in any manner.  It is a scam.  Business of this nature would be brought to the Board Members and to the members.  Our charter requires Board approval of any expenditure of more than $50 and we wouldn't circumvent this requirement.

Delete the email.  Block it.  Report it.  Just don't open any links that might be included and do not respond to it.

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

I responded. I called them out, told them that they should die in a fire, and made a snarky reference to their incestuous mating habits.

I don't care. They obviously already have my email address. What are they going to do... Send me more scams/spam?
I already get more kwrap email at that address than any combination of my other addresses.
I'm blaming Pennock's. (Ooops... Did I say that?)
All kidding aside, Pennocks is blocked by our internet firewall at work, due to the overseas (".NL") address being a serious threat for hackers and malware.

But yeah. I appreciate the tip. I'm assuming you saw my post in the "Club Business" section.

I did see it.  I got the email too, but it displayed as if it came from Michael M.

So did mine, but then it had that really goofy ".org" address.
