Run For The Hills (RFTH) 15 Shakedown Run
« on: June 15, 2010, 10:09:31 pm »
We'll be doing a shakedown run for RFTH 15 on Saturday June 19.  People in the Atlanta area who which to join should meet at Sharon Baptist Church at I-85 Exit 126.  This is the Chateau Elan, Winder exit.

Be there between 7 and 7:30 AM and bring your FRS radio.  We will be meeting up with some NC folks in Asheville, NC at the Ingles on Brevard Road, just west of I-26.  We're scheduled to be there around 10:00

Please post if you're going so I know how many route sheets to bring.

So far:

Kevin
Don
Jerry
Me and Ray

CowsPatoot, you still going?

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

We are in with the Lotus, but no Fiero at the moment....trying to get the 3400 swap done in time for the poker run.

OOOOHH  !!  Back is so sore I can hardly walk.  Will post tomorrow after I have a little time to think about the day and maybe pull some pics from the film.

Thanks Jerry, Kevin, Don, Pat, Greg, Chris, and Mike.  Mike, it was good to have met you.  Wish you could have continued the run with us.

You can see some pics at http://www.cowspatoot.com/myroads/rfth15scout.html.  If you want a full quality version of the photos, you can get them in a zip file at http://www.cowspatoot.com/downloads/RFTH15_Scouting_Run.zip...but the link won't be valid for very long.

The video is taking a while to upload...the first on should be on my youtube page by morning....http://www.youtube.com/user/cowspatoot

Charlie, the video files are too big to post on my website...I will send them on DVD.  Is the Park Place address the one to send it to?

Yes, that's correct.  Haven't reviewed mine, yet.  I've been trying to soothe this old aching back after the workout, yesterday.

I enjoyed it, got to give my 4.9 it's first workout.
It has a butload of torque out of the curves.

I apoligize for missing that turn...twice...but we did find a lot of new twisties in the detour.

I like the video, I seem to disapear about half way through, It was the first time in the hills with the 4.9 so it took me a while to find my groove. But once I did...I went with it.

After I stopped to go join the bears and were trying to catch up to all of you, we rounded a curve and

Lunch stop. The red GT next to the Lotus is not one of ours. The guy driving it saw all the Fieros and decided to see what was going on.

88_4mula makes the Fiero look really good.  Chris won't admit to working as hard as he was to keep up.

I believe this part is while we were lost...
