Good April Club Meeting
« on: April 09, 2011, 05:51:30 pm »
Enjoyed this month's meeting, covered some important things, and also finally got my wife out to one of the meetings .

For those of you who missed it, shame on you!  ;D

Still plan on doing the Helen trip tomorrow. Anyone want to join us?

Yes, a good meeting.  Good to see both of you and Jeffrey and his wife Teresa and SixGunSix and his wife.

Jeffrey and I started having stalling problems at the same time on the way home.  We nursed each other along all the way.  Then when I got home, the ignition switch wouldn't turn off.  First it won't stay running, then it won't turn off.  Had to stall it down and then disconnect the battery, so I wiped out my trouble codes.

A good turnout.  Thanks, everyone.

I thought I heard you start the Club Coupe at the red lights once or twice, didn't notice Jeff having any problems, must have happened after we split off onto Sugarloaf and left you two.
Sorry to hear it. Anne is asking if Jeff and Theresa made it home ok? Do you have their contact info? Can you PM it to us?

Yeah, they started that first time I waved.  Jeffrey would stall and I'd stop to help.  He'd get going and mine would stall, then I'd get started and catch up.  Just about every light that we had to stop at.  Mine had quit approaching Sugarloaf, but I restarted while moving.  Stopped to wait and when Jeffrey came by, he stalled at the next light.  It was a constant stop and go with one or the other all the way back.

Email sent.

Charlie & Jeffery: OMGosh,  maybe your cars are catching whatever mine has: Stallitosis Mysteriousis?

Just don't park too close, or at least I'll put a big HEPA-compliant germ mask over my car next time!  ;- )

Duchess: Our new House Mom! We need someone to smack our knuckles when we get rude or out of control... Gal, are YOU ever in for it!  You're gonna be like trying to herd cats through a rocking chair factory!!!

Don: Sorry you got The Lecture when you got home. NOW maybe you can see why I don't bring Nancy OR Suzie!

Seriously, I think more than half our club is legally deaf, myself included, and we chatter on because we can't tell what the other end of the table might be talking about. But better manners are in order.

Bottom Line: YES, this was another great meeting! Hope all you Newcomers will be back, too. The Tech Demos are an excellent idea - and, I believe, one more very valuable addition to such low annual dues!

Best,
Fiero GTB
