I did see a camera clicking a couple of times.  I'll bring video, tomorrow.  It was a beautiful cloudless shirt sleeve day and the leaves were close to full color.  Traffic wasn't too bad on the major roads, but when we got off in the back hills, it was non-existent.  We had the roads to ourselves  The only thing there were curves.  Lots and lots of curves.  Second gear curves.  I think one of the new roads we took today may rival The Dragon for number and frequency of turns.  It was very strange to be coming into a sharp left curve and see the road below you on the right.

Harry, Karin, Pat, Linda, Don, and me.  I spoke with Jerry about 7:30 and he was on his way.  He never showed up and hasn't answered his phone or voice mail since.  I'm a bit concerned.  Don't know if something happened to him.

Looks like it was a beautiful day. I've been off with some sort of Martian space fungus in my sinuses since Thursday night.

I sure hope Jerry's okay!

Let me know if I can help track him down in some way?  Making phone calls, or maybe I live closer, and could go by his place or something???

Jerry's OK.  He called me this afternoon.  As he got near I-985, he decided to just go on home in Charlotte.  He had originally planned to run with us, then go from the Rosman, NC area.  After he made the decision to go straight home, he discovered he had left his phone back in Atlanta and had no phone numbers or way to contact us to let us know.  He's back to Atlanta now and is well.

Jerry:

Young man, don't you EVER scare us like that again!

You could have been trapped in a burning car, lying in a pool of blood and oil, kidnapped by pirates, goodness knows what!

Do that again, and we're confiscating your Fiero and forcing you to drive an MR2 for a MONTH, mister!

Wish I had known about it. I would have been there, in my new truck. Sorry, but Charlie didn't call me.  :-[
