Thank you all. We just got home from the hospital. She came out of surgery about 2:30. The surgery looks good, there was no need for rods, but she's got a couple of big screws in the hip socket Because of her age they didn't put her to sleep, but just used a local anesthetic and an amnesiac gas. They said that if any pain got past the local, with the gas she wouldn't remember it. She was sleeping when we left about 3:30.
