I emailed with David and he said both cars are still sitting at his house and he would like to see someone get them. I asked if he would send me some pictures to post on our forum and he never responded. I'll send you an email with his contact information.
It has been a while that I reached out to David, but just as with you, I have heard nothing back. Too bad, I really would have liked to surprise Anne!
From David Brill yesterday:
Don:
It would be wonderful for you to raise the Phoenix once again. It is not running, and has not been, for some years now so please tell me what next. I could take it to a regular mechanic to troubleshoot for what I assume will be an inexpensive electronic part, and get a good battery for it, to get it running again. When last it ran, there were no serious issues, just the repeated engine kills that left my daughter, who happily carried tools to change out the electronic module, wanting something more reliable. The current engine-kill occurred about when she had found her VW Golf and the module was not the answer. So let me know. I’ll work with you In any way I can be helpful.
Nettie is currently in London area going to school for Occupational Therapy.
Thanks for getting back to us,
Brill
So my question is: Would anybody be willing to go and at least do a quick troubleshooting, to see if it really could be as simple as a bad ignition module?
I would of course compensate for the trouble.
Thnx,
\D
