I don't know of anyone there with a gold car, but if it's an 84, then it's a repaint. That was an 86-87 only color.
Maybe they learned of his car from this forum and now they will visit with us.
I think many things other than the gold paint job were added to rhe car that weren't stock. Power everything was added, A/C was added, 3.4 v6 was added. The guy added a lot of things, but if you don't know fieros well you wouldn't know all that wasn't stock. From what I understand he used the gold paint from the 86-87 years as well. Seats are untorn in great shape, and very minor flaws at all. When they got my car I got the feeling that it will be on the road soon. They didn't know Fiero specific mechanics, but they knew general mechanics well. They definately have the money to get FIFI the help she needs.
