Built 3.4 dropout.
« on: June 21, 2012, 03:48:28 pm »
From Chuck Willyard (fierochild) ...

Hey Steve, Would you please let the local Fiero group know that I am
parting out my car.  It has a reciently completely rebuilt 3.4 with my
custom intake and truleo's custom exhaust.   This engine produces 172 hp
at the wheels.  It is broke in with about 75 hours on it.  (I have the
dyno sheet to prove the power.)  I also have the documentation on the
intake mods to allow suffceint air flow.  I also have the machine shop
build order, where I spent over $1800.00 on the engine.  The engine is
worth the $3000.00 I put into it.  I have it for sale on Pennocks
@$3000, but don't expect it to sell soon.  I will let any of the club
members have the engine with a new Spec clutch for $1900.00.  I also
have an 88 getrag transmission for $200.00, an 88 cradle in good shape
for $100.00.  88 front spendles, hub bearings, brake calipers, rotors
steal braided lines and pads for sale. $200.00.

I will give any club member a 10% discount.

========================
Chuck can be reached at 678-300-2510.
I watched Chuck document some of this build on Pennocks. This engine (as well as the one in my red coupe that I sold) were both loosely based on Oreif's build. If you're at the point that you need an engine rebuild, or are just looking for some bolt-in power, this might be the better option.
YMMV.

Steve,
Do you know if Chuck still has this engine for sale if so I'm interested in it.

Thanks Joe

Joe, Last I heard it was sold, unless it fell through.
Give him a call...

I spoke with him earlier today and he said he was pretty sure it was and he would know for sure in a few days. By some chance if it fell through he would let me know.
