Want to Borrow
« on: September 06, 2013, 08:44:00 am »
I couldn't find one in the Tool Shed section, so I'm posting here.

I would like to borrow a socket to remove the IAC valve on the 2.8 throttle body.  I can do it with pliers or other tools, but I have a brand new one and I don't want to scrape up the outside surfaces as I put it back in.  I want to keep it looking 'purty'.

I used a standard length 1/2 drive Craftsman socket and an extension on mine. Take your new IAC with you to try in socket. 1/2 inch drive. Worked perfect for me.

I forgot I have some 1/2 and 1 inch socket sets that belonged to my Dad.  I'll have to get them from under the back of the work bench to see if anything fits.  Thanks.
