It was the pickup coil.  Completely rebuilt the distributor and we are happy.

Does it still have my ignition module in it, or is that new too?

It sounded eerily silent before.  It died during Run For The Hills, and we finally got it running again.

I have lost track of which one is in it right now.  We will get that back to you at the next meeting.

When we went to the auto parts store in Blue Ridge, I thought we had taken Pat's module out to have it tested.  I believe Colin's old module and Pat's new one both tested good, so didn't we put Colin's module back in when we returned?  I remember we had 2 modules in my car when we got back to the hotel.  I remember cleaning all the compound off the back and giving it to Colin.  Seems like the new one was gray in color.

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Curses!
That pickup coil tested good according to what I read (I believed).
Back to the books.
You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.
