Pennocks member Meistromichael is sending a fire extinguisher for the Warrior Project Car.  That's F-I-R-E extinguisher, not F-I-E-R-O extinguisher.  Intended to be used on other vehicles. :)

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Pgackerman and I spoke today and he's made contact with a veterans assistant group at Ft. Gordon.  He gave me a name and number and I'm waiting for them to call me back.  They may have a number of possible candidates.

It's still there.  We need to get the car out of Ron's back yard and off to the crusher.  No one is getting items from the car so whatever is there will probably get crushed.  It's a shame because all of the body panels except the nose is in very good condition with no damage.  I think the dash is out so it would make it pretty easy to get the inside portion of the duct work, too.

That would be great.  Both are at Ron and Susan's Powder Springs house.  We're booked for the next two Saturdays, but maybe the club could schedule a work day on the 25th of April.  Let us know by this weekend's meeting and we will get it on the agenda.

I am planning to go over and work on the car on April 25th, so Paul, Ron, and anyone else, please come on up.  If you're planning to join, post here and we'll give you the address.

Paul has made some contacts at Ft. Gordon and they had a candidate that needed a car immediately, but it isn't ready.  We may have lost that candidate but we need to get the car finished so we can hand it over to the next one that becomes available.  Tim has also provided some contact information to maybe get the car painted, too.

I'm buying the '86SE parts car.  f85gtron can come pull the hi-vac parts once the car is here - Ron. R. says it will be closer to him that way. It will be here Saturday.
Thanks,

This morning I spoke with someone at the MAACO Corporate office in Charlotte.  The reception was good and they seem to be open to the possibility of co-sponsoring our Warrior Project car.  She also suggested that some of their other affiliates might also contribute.  She's going to do some checking and will report back to me this coming Tuesday.

Hopefully we are on our way to seeing this project completed and available to the next needy Veteran.

I also just got a reply from the AugustaWarriors and they have another possible candidate.  I will talk with her after I hear from MAACO.

What needs to be done to the Warrior Project car?
What do we expect to accomplish/complete on the 25th?
What tools/parts are needed?

Can I bring guests the Club can encourage to become future Fiero owners?

I don't remember how we left the car.  There are certainly some cosmetics and we need to get the custom wheels and tires mounted and be sure they have enough clearance to be driven on the road.  We really need to clean up the harness work on the oil pressure sender.  The harness has been cut, inserted through the top of a small plastic bottle, siliconed in and spliced back together.  That bottle was intended to be a rain shield for the harness end to keep the sender from shorting and putting a parasitic drain on the battery.

Bring any and all tools you want and friends, too.  I'll email the address to you.  Just head out I-20 West.  If you get to Alabama you've gone too far, but only by just a few miles.  It's about a 3 hour trip for you.

Well, almost.  There won't be any Gingers or Mary Anns, but more than likely a whole bunch of Gilligans.
