... I've got to remember to sprinkle myself with habanero dust so I don't become dinner.

...and for freak's sake... don't rub your eyes. :D

Paul, you should have the paper Warrior Project banner sometime Tuesday.  They projected one day delivery and I mailed it today.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Received the banner today.  What do you want me to do with it?

It's paper, and we've been having some sudden, heavy storms the last few days.  Can't count on Eagle to bring it inside.

I thought they could use for photo op promotions and then put it away.  I'd like to have it at the dedication on August 1.

If you pay them a visit, show them our home page.  Pat has got their banner up as a Sponsor of the Warrior Project.  I hope they will also name Georgia Fieros in their promotions.

Stopped by Eagle on the way home.  The car should be painted by next week.  Reassembled shortly after that.

When Eagle's done, we should make room in his shop and take it to f85gtron's or my place.

No nasty dogs at either house.

Chatted with Eagle at Cars & Coffee this morning.

* The car is on schedule to be finished within two weeks.  I'll try to drop by tomorrow and take photos.

* This should give f85gtron and myself two weeks to make any repairs.

* I suggest doing the hand-over at the August 1 Cars & Coffee between 0930 and 1000.  That seems to be the max crowd time when the early arrivals are starting to leave and the influx of new people is trickling off.  F85gtron, correct me if you have a different impression.

* 0930 is a bit early if you're coming all the way from Atlanta or Huntsville.  There are some nice, inexpensive hotels at the intersection of I-20 and Washington Road in Augusta (Exit 199).  I stayed at the La Quinta when I moved to the CSRA and can say the price was under $50, had a salt-water pool, a Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robins across the parking lot, and other good food up and down the street.  Rhinehart's Oyster Bar is an easy drive and you may even be able to get an autographed copy of Fish Gutting for Newlyweds while your dining.  Tempting, huh? http://www.amazon.com/Fish-Gutting-Newlyweds-Rhinehart-Bailey/dp/0578045923

* There are also expensive hotels at Exit 199 that are also new Rhinehart's.

* Let me know if you'll be able to make C&C August 1st.  The show starts at 0800, but I'm going to try to arrive early and grab some spots near the front.  Any chance we can get around 20 Fieros to show up?

Let's see if we can get a good group at the dedication.  See the new thread for Warrior Project Dedication Attendance.

Here are some photos from Eagle P&B I took today.

Spoke with Eagle and Aiken/Augusta Warrior Project.  Figure A/A and the GA Fiero Club and maybe Eagle will each have no more than a minute to say what a great thing is happening and to thank one another.  Sound good?

Did you show them how/where to properly store the Vista roof?

It's difficult to tell, but I guess that's a primer coat, judging by the aero trim being the same color.  I see they didn't remove the belt molding and aero trim to paint underneath it.

Great to see the progress on the car.  I've been talking with the man who's to receive the car and he's very excited about it.  He's been checking out this thread and learning about the car and all of you who are involved.

That's good that he seems excited. Hopefully he'll become involved in the club!  Maybe Pgackerman and I could take him out to an autocross event to get the car "broke in"   ;D

He said he had seen several Fieros on base and he'd also seen Paul's among them.  He does want to become involved with activities.
