He said he had seen several Fieros on base and he'd also seen Paul's among them.  He does want to become involved with activities.

Does this include replacing an oil pressure sender tube at Ron's house before he get's the car?

Have him invite the Fiero owners on base to Cars & Coffee.  We're trying to fill the lot.  Have them reserve on the other thread so I can reserve parking spots.

I think we could certainly ask him if he wants to get his first Fiero lesson.  Brakes would be a good thing to learn about, too, since one day he'll need to replace the pads.  He tells me he's pretty mechanically adept and has a considerable amount of tools, I believe in a storage area.

Eventually, he'll need to amass a sturdy collection of spare interior parts and a fiero-themed wall clock......along with the mandatory "FIERO ONLY" parking sign hung carefully beside, but not under, the coveted sombrero oh so gracefully swiped from a local Mexican restaurant in another life (marriage b.c.)  ;)

And that hasn't even been buffed out and clear coated, yet.  I'm surprised that they didn't remove the hood, headlight door, side molding and aero molding, though.  But then, it is a free job they're doing and it does look super.

Don't know when Eagle put the hood back on, but it was off.

The silver is looking good.  It really looks more like a gray than a metallic.

I saw in the latest pictures that they didn't remove the inner quarterwindow trim for painting and it looks like they painted over the VIN tags on the various panel.  I hope they are at least going to repaint the mirrors and engine vents to a good shiny black.  I was also hoping that the belt molding would have gotten painted, too.  But again, it's a donated paint job.  Looks better than it did when we got it.

When the car is done and delivered, if I can get jpeg of all the pictures, I'll put them into a file and burn them to CD.  The file can then be placed on our facebook page, club website and copies can be given to the recipient.

Pgackerman and I picked up the car today and WOW!  She purdy!
Driver's report:
No windshield wipers
Driver's door needs bushings installed
Calipers need to be installed
Does not run rich, so that eliminates the blown injector theory as to why it doesn't idle. I think it's a bad iac.
Paul and I changed out the oil sender tube and the oil leak is gone.
It drove straight and true
Power on demand, trans kicked down when supposed to and firm.
Ac worked :)
Rotor dust covers or something is scraping.
Those big wheels feel great with factory springs. Very nice.
I filled her up with premium to help dry out the tank.
Mirrors and vents are already painted. They did those at some point.

The car will be at Pgackerman Pgackerman's abode for the time being and may find itself in my garage eventually.

Found one of the wipers under the hood (Don't ask how f85gtron discovered they were missing).  I'll dig more around the spare tire tomorrow to locate the missing wiper.

And now for the unveiling...

... wait for it...

... not yet ...

... Drum roll please....

You would have to post these pictures just before my bed time.  Now, I won't be able to sleep.  That's absolutely gorgeous.  Think maybe we can get Barry to take a faded out plain Jane no options base 88 coupe, instead?  Brooks and his crew have done a really beautiful job on the car.  I think the color and the wheels are a perfect match.
