Jack & Ellen showed up at the Red Onion and spent their lunch with us.
Jack is recovering from a stroke about a month ago and is doing amazingly well!
It was good to see both of them again.

The motor died. I'm going to try to take it apart, and see if the brushes are what's bad. The bearings are fine, so if all it needs are brushes, I may be able to find some.

Here is a picture of the broken hub (and brake rotor) from carnut122...

You can see the hub nut still on the axle. The mounting flange of the hub, and the "hat" of the rotor, are still attached to the wheel.

Looks like you guys had quite an eventful trip!  Good thing we didn't come with our faulty brakes LOL.  I have taken the pictures from this thread and posted them on the facebook page - if anyone else has pictures I can use, please send them to me or post them here :).  Thanks!

Perhaps he should change 'Cowspatoot' to 'The Hubinator'.

He did a great job handling that. GM should hire him to test their vehicles. No crash dummy stuff tho ;D
