Will you help me push mine there?  I'm trying to get it all put back together, but it's going to be down to the wire?

Cars and Coffee Augusta was attended by THREE Fiero enthusiasts!  Scmike, Pgackerman, and myself attended. Were were represented by TWO Fiero...one fastback and one notchie, both gts.
They were both appropriate gawked at, though, no fiero jokes where hurled in our presence and so on..

After getting home Saturday, I started getting everything going to remove the water pump. I put new bushing on the passenger rear side on the sway bar. I then played around with the water pump pulley and saw that antifreeze was moving. Yesss! I then left it alone and will mess with it another day. Then on Sunday, I put in a new battery and a new alternator. The alternator was a pain. The battery bolt would not come loose. It caused the alternator post to rotate. So, I had to rotate the alternator around to get it to back out, and then I was able to remove the nut. I started the Formula up and she sounds a little rough. I need to adjust the timing since I put in a new distributor. However, with a little TLC and coaxing, I was able to park her in the garage. So, hopefully later this year, I'll be able to drive her down the the Cars & Coffee Augusta and there will be 3 Fieros! Here are a couple pictures with her sitting snuggly in the garage.

Be careful though.....  if you keep the garage too comfy, she'll not want to come out!
Hope you get her up and running soon. I look forward to a third fiero to represent!

After getting home Saturday, I started getting everything going to remove the water pump.

Observe torque recommendations carefully when installing the new pump, if it's on a V6. There's one place where over torquing will crack the pump.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

Yes, what he said.  Good pumps come with a bracket that prevents breaking the ear off the pump.  it's an unsupported ear at the top left of the pump.  By unsupported, I mean that it doesn't seat against any part of the engine or timing chain cover.  That bracket also holds the timing chain cover against the engine when removing the pump so that you don't break the seal of the timing cover and create a leak that you will regret later.

There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Just learned that there is also a Cars & Coffee Columbia.

https://www.facebook.com/carsandcoffeecolumbia

With the one in Augusta and now knowing about Columbia, I should hopefully be able to make it to at least one of them with my work schedule. :)
