Looking for 88. See inside.
« on: October 27, 2015, 07:55:36 pm »
Requirements...
Must have clean title. No salvage or rebuilts.
Must be an A/C car, even if it's not working.
Must be a manual trans car.
Must be cosmetically decent. No body damage or fried paint. Nice interior would be a plus, but not a requirement.
Mechanicals... not too critical, as long as it's serviceable. High mileage is not a show stopper.
Wheels/rims/tires don't matter.
No rust. Prefer southern car. Within driving distance of ATL would even be better.

Preference given to cars other than bright red. (Yeah... I know. But it's not a show stopper.)

I don't care what engine it has, or whether it runs. It's for a swap. (Of course, a driveable car would be preferable. Duh. But again, it's not a requirement.)

Buy the club car.   ;)
You can't fix stupid but, you can adjust it with a 2x4.

Buy the club car.   ;)

If you mean the club duke coupe, that's a non-AC car, with an aftermarket AC that no one has any idea of where to find parts for it.
If you mean the club Formula, that one may do.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

The AC needs a clutch or compressor.  Both are still available but the system wouldn't work with an engine upgrade. It would be easiest to just swap in a stock AC system in the process.

Someone on PFF had the same aftermarket setup.  The compressor is commonly used in Isuzu diesel heavy trucks as well as other commercial vehicles due to their ease of configuring the mounting points.

The agreement I have with the club is that it will be provided as a loaner car until May 20, 2017 in return that club members may provide labor and parts to restore it.  If it is sold prior to May 20, 2017, the money goes to the treasury of Georgia Fieros.  After that date, if the agreement isn't renewed, the car is mine.  Club officers would have to make the decision to sell it and request approval from the directors.  Though the car belongs to me, I have no input into the matter.

Probably a 3900. I already have a spare cradle.
The F23 is kind of intriguing, but I suspect I'll use a Beretta Getrag, like the one I have now, since I already know how they work.
This will be waaaaay down the road, though. If you still have the F23, I'll consider it.
