Looking for a set of pre-88 lace wheels, 88 suspension parts
« on: April 27, 2016, 05:58:58 pm »
Gold or black lace wheels would be cool, not sure what other colors they came in. If you have good tires on them, even better. Going on a black 85 bumper pad V6.

Just priced out some tires to replace my 1993 Goodyear Eagle GT II's on the stock 6 inch rims- $700 installed? Time for different wheels. Always liked the lace ones.

Also looking for some used 84-87 rear coil overs, a pair of 88 rear knuckles, lateral links, and toe links.

I believe pre-88 wheels only came in gray centers.  Gold and Black were 88 standard colors.  You could get 4 rear 88 wheels in either color to have the correct offset for an 85

The 87 Mera came with lace wheels painted the same color as the car (often red). Kind of rare though.

They've been in my storage unit for a year.  During that year, 1 of them was outside on the old Joel Project car.  The tire may need to be replaced.

Also looking for a notchback rear bumper reinforcement (egg crate?). It is a bumperpad car I think I read these should be interchangeable between all '84 and 85 base and SE cars.

The 84-86 base coupe bumperpad shared the same eggcrate.  I believe there's a good one on a parts car we have in Commerce.  Several bumperpads up there.

Answered your PM.

Thanks again for the wheels!

I just replaced the rubber with new Toyo Extensa A/S in the sizes you recommended- 215/60 front 225/60 rear. They balanced out perfect thanks for taking good care of them.

Pardon the dust, with the cradle out I haven't been able to get it outside to wash it in... um like 2 years. Hopefully that will change soon. Need to replace my worn suspension first. Have everything apart, at least the rear will be easy.  ;D

I always thought that the bumperpad cars (like yours) looked especially good with those wheels.
Nice choice.
