Coil over question

So I'm getting my 85 SE put back together and I have a coil over question. I'm wanting to buy or build some coil overs and I'm currently using the 85 engine cradle. I have an 88 cradle and plan on doing a swap in the future- just not sure how far out it will be. Maybe a year? I'm curious if anything I put into coil overs on the pre-88 can be reused for the 88 cradle swap. If I'm going to have to scrap everything I'm going to have a hard time trying to justify the expense to make it work presently.

Replacement struts are the same for all years. I'm thinking that all of the coil-over hardware would be "recyclable", as well.
If anyone knows differently, I hope they'll chime in and correct me.
