The utility line markers were called miss utilities where i use to live.  Can't think of what they're called in Georgia -- just figured Miss Utilities got the idea across.

Miss Utilities?  Ours is USCIS, or some such thing.

There's something similar to that in this area.  There are also other companies that do the same thing.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

It's called "Miss Dig" around here.

I had a birthday lunch with Tegan at her school, today.  On the way back while stopped at a light, a lady in a C class Mercedes sedan was stopped beside me.  She tooted her horn and rolled down her window.  I thought she was probably going to ask directions, but to my surprise, she told me that she liked my little yellow car.

I took my Fiero to Johnny Brock's Dungeon.  Yeah, it got noticed.  But people thought it was a DeLorean!

Bunches of people saw our Fieros, today.  Some spun around in their tracks as we passed.  One grabbed his camera and tried to get a shot as we passed.  One pulled into the rest stop and was photographing us as we were pulling away.  Folks at The Dragons Den gift shop swarmed Budgetman72's car then rolled in another GT with a 400HP SC engine.  More about all this in the RFTH 23 Rerun thread.

Yeah, I'm sure Budgetman's Fiero turns heads.

Yesterday, drove my Fiero all around town to appts and such... and no one noticed.  Not even one thumbs up!

Today I was redeemed.

My wife and I met my daughter at a BBQ place where banana pudding counts as a side.  We all had to drive separately.  I had my Fiero and my wife had her 2011 Mustang convertible with the top down.  We parked a space apart.

When we went inside these two guys ask if that's my red car out there and what year, engine, etc, etc. etc and he told me about his '66 GTO back in Arizona.

Not one mention of the Mustang....   Which I'm happy to report I was smart enough not to point out to my wife.

Took the "Little Black Car" to work on Thursday for the first time in a couple of years.  We have all new kitchen staff at the club house.  A few of the young men gathered around  and made comments like Cool, Classic and Sweet.  The younger generation seem to have good taste.

They are in their early 20's.  They seem to all like German cars.  One has an Audi, one has a Bimmer and the other has a VW GT I.  The golf cart crew are also in their early 20's and late teens but they almost all drive pickups.  They also noticed the Fiero and made good comments about it.

I know where they could find 3 Fieros--and maybe a fourth.

Pulled into WalMart today to get some of that $1.83/gal. gasoline in the yellow car.  People were lined up at the tanks.  Behind me was an Accura Sedan.  When I got to the pump, a lady looking to be in her 60's got out of the Accura and asked if she could look at my Fiero.  She hadn't seen one in years.  She said she had always liked and wanted one, but her husband was a Nissan 280Z enthusiast.

I hate waiting for gas.  Costco always has lines, so I go elsewhere.  There is a walmart gas station, but I've never used it.  I usually get gas across the street.

We went for a drive, and stopped at a restaurant.  Someone saw my Fiero, and called another Fiero person.  He came to look.

Not my Fiero, but great Fiero appreciation:

Cars and Coffee Car Show in Hinesville GA today, 118 entries, I took home a top 20 award. Judges were all over the Fiero, hadnt seen one in years, and never one sbc V8 swapped. The McLaren didn't get one, all new stock at a custom car show isnt worthy I guess...lol.
