Drove down to Statesboro today.  Received thumbs-up twice on the way down.  When we returned, a customer at a gas station told me he use to own an '87.  I told him about the club.  Then the gas-guy came over and looked my car over.  Finally, at the last big intersection before my neighborhood a guy in an SUV gave me multiple thumbs-up and other gestures of the positive variety.

 Good Fiero Day.

BTW, 26 MPG after the car sat for a week, then took me to work twice, and then to Statesboro and back.

I'm no MPG expert, but sitting for a week doesn't change MPG much, as long as the tank is full.

Are you sure?  When we lived in Atlanta my 62 Bonneville would sometimes use  whole tank while sitting in the parking lot at night. 😀

I have a .22 that will fix those leaks, if used properly.

Stop and go traffic through a checkpoint and 4-way stop signs at work probably affected my mileage more than the car sitting a week.

In SC a Dodge RT pulled alongside with his nose even with my door and ran there for a moment as we went up and down the rolling hills.  As he pulled away I saw his window rolling up.  Listening to the exhaust of the C8 Prototype maybe.

In Travelers Rest a young man approaching on an extended rear cycle made a left turn in front at a light.  Nodded and gave a thumbs up.

Pulled into the Spinx station and a woman on the sidewalk complimented and said her first car was an 85 GT.

Then another guy walked past and complimented the car.  Making my day.  Think I'll stay here for a while.

We are in Germany right now.  The Little Black Car is locked away in its barn in SC under a car cover.  I certainly hope no one has saw it today.

We have been planning to get together for over a year but our return schedule and his will be cutting it real close but we are still hoping it works out.

A guy slowed as he walked my my Fiero, so I said "hi".  The guy stopped, returned yhe greeting, then gave my Fiero a once-over.  He asked me what year my Fiero was.  He seemed surprised, then asked if mine was one of the first.  He indicated that he thought Fieros were made until a few years ago, and had thought mine was at least a 2010 model.

The guy appeared to be in his 60's, so old enough to remember when Fieros were made.

During yesterday's test driving we stopped at a Kroger. Guy who is a parts distributor stopped and talked to me fpr about 10 minutes about the car and my plans for it. He remembers them when they were new and cool rather than retro and cool as he put it.

Yes, a guy asked me questions about my Fiero for about 2 hours.  Apparently, there are no Fiero clubs in South Dakota.

I ended up giving rides to 3 people.

My Fiero was parked at the auto parts store.  I saw a small Mercedes pull up next to my Fiero, and the driver got out to take a look.

After I bought a set of fuses, I went out to my Fiero.  The guy said something to the effect that seeing a car in front of a parts store pretty much told you what you needed to know about that car.  I responded that it was just like his Mercedes, then got into mine, backed out, and told him, "except that, after I drive off, your Mercedes will still be there."
