That Volvo must be wild.  When I was doing a PDX at Road Atlanta, the race immediately prior to us going on the track was totally overpowered by a Volvo wagon, until he blew a tire.  I have no idea what he had in it, but it had quiet mufflers, as all the cars out there were supposed to be street legal vehicles.

Some years ago, Volvo let us try their new (then) wagon.  I remember doing burnouts with it.  That's about all I remember.

Tonight when my daughter came to pick up my granddaughter, the little one asked me to come to dinner with them.  As we went out to the cars, she put her backpack and other school stuff into her Mom's car then came back to me.  Said she wanted to ride with me.

After dinner, on the way back home, I had to stop at WalMart to get gas for the trip to the workshop and meeting tomorrow.  Because my daughter had lost copies of all my debit cards and they had to be canceled, I only had cash to pay for fuel.  As I was getting out to prepay at the cashier, a young man from the other side of the pump walked by and said to me something like "Hey, I like your car".  He prepaid and then I prepaid and when I got back to the pump, the other two guys that were in the SUV with him were giving it a once-over.  They didn't say anything but just smiled and nodded.

Thank you MikeMac for the alignment that allows me to enjoy this thing more often.

There I was at Mule Days (Yes, it's really a thing https://muledaysouthernheritagefestival.org/) looking at the car show wearing my Georgia Fiero Club shirt when someone asks me if I'm the guy who brought the Fiero to the car show on the square in Washington (I am) a few months ago.  We chatted for awhile and he kept telling me how nice my car is.  Then he explained to his wife how the engine is in the back.

Nice to be remembered.

Didn't bring my Fiero today since I had two passengers.

Haa mule days brilliant!

One of my jobs is as a horse dentist.  I did some training in the US of A where I had my first mule encounter.   They are made of some tough stuff!!

Today we took The Little Black Car up in the mountains to buy apples.  When we pulled in two young men came over to see the car.  One knew quite a bit about Fieros  but the other new nothing.  They wanted to see the motor, under the front hood and inside.  They took pictures and had me crank it up so they could hear it. They both said it looked like it had just came off the showroom floor.
The younger one was driving a Nissan Go Fast car.  He wanted to know if I wanted to sell it and I told them no, as it has been in my family since new and will stay.  He asked what I would ask for it if it was for sale and I said the value is going up for all original, Fieros and if it was for sale I would be adking $6500.  He gave me his card and said if I changed my mind he had the cash.
I guess the market is finally going up on our cars.

I disremember.  Is your Fiero an L4 or V6?

Fieros have a timeless look, for sure.

That's good news, Harry. They are less and less common, and commanding more respect.
Good to see you. Take care!

GTRS - It has a V6.
Raydar - Thanks.
Charlie - You know how it is, every time I see a car ahead of me or in my rear view  my brain and foot say CHALLENGE.  I replaced my front tires a month or so back and yesterday before we went up in the mountains I noticed the rears are starting to get small cracks after 11 years, so I will have to replace them before I follow you.  We are a little financially strapped right now but if I can figure out where to pull it from I will join you guys.  Karin says she would really like to make the run.  We will see and I will let you know.

I'm probably going to be bringing up the rear.  Just got the 86SE somewhat straightened out but have never had it into the mountains.  I'll be taking it easy until I'm more confident that it's stable.  I'll also likely have my 7 year old granddaughter with me, so safety is of a higher priority for me.

Today as I got out of my car (yellow t-top) to visit a store on the way to work, a guy who had just gotten out of a truck gave it a real close look, then went about his business.

I took a guy for a short drive in my Fiero, at his request.  He says the Fiero was his dream car, growing up.  He has a G8, now.  It was a cool day, and traffic was light.  I pushed it a bit through some curves, let it drift about 85 feet, and had the poor guy gasping.  He's looking for a Fiero.

Took a drive down to Millen, GA and the Honey Cafe -- Great Cheesecake and lunch.  Did I say Great Cheesecake?

In my driveway a Miss Utilities guy -- the ones who paint lines in your yard -- walks over and tells me how great my car looks.

Same thing happens while filling up on the way out.

In Millen, my wife and I watched two guys give my car a once over a few times.

That's Fiero Appreciation!

BTW, over 31 mpg on very back roads usually doing 55 mph.

Miss Utilities?  Ours is USCIS, or some such thing.
