The board meeting drug out for 4 hours, so we went out for lunch, afterward.  Having driven my Fiero, I parked in front, right in the corner of the lot, which is on a main thoroughfare.  That corner of the lot is raised about 12 feet above the street.  There were a bunch of landscaping rocks under that corner, and then my Fiero in the corner.  We were eating outdoors.  One of the board members has a Tesla, another an Austin-Martin, one a Gallardo, one an Audi 2-seater, and there were some other nice cars.  Some of the servers went over to look at the Fiero.  Apparently, people have already seen the other cars.

After a while, some non-customers stopped by to check out the Fiero.  One stopped by the tables to ask about the car up front.  The Tesla guy was ready to tell her all about his car, but the lady was not interested.  The guy was a bit sore.  In fact, I was told not to drive the Fiero to any more board meetings.  I couldn't resist asking if I should drive one of the more popular cars.   They were not amused, and decided that my Fiero was plenty popular enough.  I told the truth, that the Fiero usually flies under the radar.

I think the Tesla guy was pissed, anyway, because he was having trouble finding a charging station.  I'm sure there are charging stations around, but apparently not where he wants them.

Do those cows count?

Only to three or four. They're kind of slow. :D

Out there in the middle of nowhere?

You'd be surprised at the traffic that goes up and down our road. Several cars an hour.
Doesn't sound like a big deal, but this used to be way the eff out in the middle of nowhere. Not so much, anymore.
We might even be worthy of cable internet, in the next year or so.

I've seen some cows that could flat out run.  In fact, I once rode a cow in a race, and won.  At least, I got the reward for first.  My seating area was very sore, afterward.

Where I grew up, sometimes we got 17 vehicles go by in a day, including the mail carrier.

It used to be just the school bus and the mail carrier, when Tam was younger. I still remember the road being dirt/gravel, for a while after we met.
Now there are some houses down towards the end of the road. Civilization encroaches...

Well, not shown here, but my Fiero drew a small crowd at a different place.  Several people said it used to be their dream car.  Here, we had stopped for a cool treat.

The Fiero wasn't actually parked there, until it was decided to take a picture, at which time the Fiero was briefly moved to this spot.  The Fiero is filthy, due to not having been detailed, and having picked up a lot of dirt.

Went to Coffee and Cars in Augusta.  There were a few new 2M8s (aka C8) there.  This photo sums up the crowds response:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/PuAzkwvfmRLo6b8a7   Yes, that's my Fiero behind all those people.

A cop pulled up next to my car at C&C.  Got out, looked at my car, then showed me a photo of the black '87 he just purchased.  Told him about the club.

When I got home a guy stopped me in my driveway and told me how much he liked my car.  Told him about the club, too.

Tegan and I went out to get some dog food today and as we were going into the store a man stopped me to briefly talk about the 87.  We went on in and he continued out with his buggy.  When we came out he was standing at the car and wanted to talk some more.  Tukrns out that he's looking for a fastack.

So, anyone know of an 86 or 87 fastback for under $3500?
