He's a man outstanding in his engine bay

I'm standing in my engine bay. I have taken the obligatory engine bay shot. I hope to never do it again. Couldn't get the front cradle bolts loose, so the motor came out though the top. It was much easier than I expected.

FYI:
The motor and trans can be pulled and dropped back in through the top. This approach requires the removal of the ac brackets and alt brackets rear trans mount bracket, and bandaids!. This was done in a notchie. Not sure about fast backs.

Nice job. I've heard of Dukes being removed from the top, but "common knowledge" says that it can't be done with a V6, at least without stripping it down nearly to a long block. Way to prove them wrong. :D

Did you remove the engine with the trans still bolted on? Even better!

...This was done in a notchie. Not sure about fast backs.

Once the decklid is removed, and out of the way, the opening is pretty much the same size.
The fastback "flying buttress" roofline might be in the way, however.
That also makes it much more "fun" to lean/reach over, when you're trying to disconnect stuff, but that's true no matter how the engine is removed.

Yes, the trans was bolted up coming out and going in. The Muncie came out, but was easy because it's small. Going in was the f23 and was a booger because it's sooo big.
