ITS ALIVE! After the death of my Duke's piston rings and several months of work my '84 3800 conversion is complete, kept the 125c automatic in it for the conversion. Its actually been running awhile but I didnt want to post about it until Im sure it was going to stay that way.

Would have put it in the quarter panel but the filter is stainless steel mesh and tends to let in more dust and dirt that typical, and I live on a dirt road.

Now that all thats been done and Im estimating about 17MPG, >.< my sending unit is fried and I have yet to put the new one in so it is a bit of an educated guess. Just some seals, a little interior work, a windshield, wheels, and a new coat of paint left to go! Thankfully Kirker just brought out their Carousel Red (Also known as Hugger Orange) ^_^

Once I think of how well this has gone I cant help but grin and look toward the other side of my yard where theres a grey car cover, the grin suddenly is covered by my hand hitting my face as I recall where half of my tax returns went:
Second 1984 Fiero and more spare parts than I probably need that I found on Ebay, it turned out to be less than a 15 minute drive. The owner wanted $500 for it, his wife said it had to go since he had dumped so much money into it, specifically the engine and transmission rebuild he had done (auto unfortunately) after seeing it I got him down quite a bit for just the car itself with all the new parts/spare, just no engine or trans. The extra parts being a replacement bumper, right fender, all new brakes, lines, calipers, rotors, wheels/tires, and probably more things that I cant remember at the moment but it was a good deal, right now Im debating what to do with it though. Damage to the right side of the front end, specifically the bumper and fender, fender might be repairable with fiberglass, bad paint job, power door locks and windows, sunroof, solid deck lid panels, computer and wiring harness were included oddly enough.

Now I dont find that to be a problem except the constant "Why is it you own a GM? 2 at that!" and after that several complaints about General Motors follows, 2 things tend to work pretty well in quieting this:
1. "Ok, point out an affordable, not TOO relatively difficult to find mid-engine rear wheel drive Ford and Ill think about it. Until then, back off.
2. "Do you not remember my FIRST car?"
