Well, I didn't bring that shirt.  I could take a pic of my Fiero.

Maybe you could hold up a copy of the Newsletter...

Hmmm.  I didn't bring a copy.  I thought of that.  Hey, I didn't see a GFC banner, either.  We had both vehicles loaded.  I left a few things behind, because I brought tools.  I had to buy some things here, and will have to leave some things here.

I got a chance to speak with Mike, Pat, and Lloyd.  Nice cars.  I tried to get a picture of the Swayne Bros, but that hasn't worked out.

I asked Pat if I was what he expected.  His answer? "I guess not".

I guess I talk fast.

Don't they have color printers and the internet up there to print at least the first page of a Newsletter?

Well, that didn't work out.

I did run into Jayson, who is FlatBLK88fieroGT on here.  I also ran into another guy from near my home.

I have a royal sunburn.  Royal sunburns glow in the dark but only from the inside.

Does this color remind you of anyone's Fiero?

That looks like Graystone Metallic. (Impala, etc. color.) That was a close second choice for my car.

Well, I met Cowspatoot there.  Some other people, too.  Cowspatoot looks smaller in person.

I added comments to the images.

Pat, Mike, Lloyd, it was nice to get to meet you and talk with you.  Pat, that is an accomplishment to pass all 3 tests like that.  It's easy for younger generations to discount the effort it takes to actually earn something.

Truth: The hotel in which we stayed Thursday night had a printer, but the hotel in which we stayed Friday night and Saturday night did not.  The Thursday night hotel's printer was B&W only.

Truth: I tried to get a pic of the Swayne Bros in front of their Fieros.  Never accomplished that.

Truth: I was going to take a printed copy of the newsletter and the flyer with me, but forgot to print good versions of them, and would have had to take the test versions.

Truth: I was going to print a correctly-sized copy of my Fiero's option codes, but forgot or ran out of time, so had to use the 8.5x11" version I already had.

Truth: My wife and I tried to get a picture of my Fiero under the mural on the side of the building in Pontiac, IL, but the people wouldn't move their cars.

Truth: My wife and I wanted a picture of my Fiero at the outlook, but that didn't work out.

Truth: Both my wife and I tried to get a picture of me with my Fiero on the show lot, but that didn't work out.

For space reasons, I was unable to bring some things with me, although I noticed that the Texas crowd somehow managed to bring a tent and folding chairs with them.

Anyway, I had to make a quick run to Walmart to get some things I needed.  I parked a bit away from the other vehicles to minimize risk.  When I came out, this was parked next to me:

Someone used screws to secure the body panels.

The hotel in which we stayed on Friday and Saturday nights was patriotically patronized by Fieros.  There was a red '84 base coupe, a blue '87 GT, and my white '88 GT.  Hey, at least there were some other Fiero people there.  I heard them arrive at the hotel on Saturday night, about 10 minutes after I got there.  I saw them at breakfast, Sunday morning.  Friday night, both of those Fieros were already there when I got there.

I understand that Peoria is broke; either way, the streets are bad for a truck, and terrible for a Fiero.  Both of our Hotels and the host hotel are located immediately next to a highway.  This didn't seem to be an issue for the host hotel, but from our hotels, the volume of the traffic was excessive.  Our hotels were located in seedy neighborhoods.
