Again, quite a newsletter. Nice job!
I particularly liked the article about the Fiero vs Corvette comparison. I remember hearing someone, back in the 80s,  make the comment that the Fiero was about to "put the Corvette on the trailer", prior to its cancellation. While it's quite probably more complicated than that, nothing that I have read or seen, since then, has convinced me that that wasn't the reality of the situation.

One of my goals in life is to buy one of the mid-engine Corvettes (several years used, of course)  and plaster Fiero badges all over it. Just to annoy the Corvette faithful.
Of course, with all of the latter day Camaro/Trans Am rebodies that are out there, I have no doubt that someone will beat me to that. (Yes... The Fiero may live on. Even though it'll just be a "body kitted" Corvette. Something to think about.)

That'd be great!  We just need someone to write the article.  It probably would be a few months before such an article would be cycled in.

The newsletters are themed.  There are monthly cycle themes, seasonal cycle themes, quarterly cycle themes, and annual cycle themes.  The newsletter combines all of these.  At the same time, the newsletter covers a variety of things, so there should be something of interest/use for everyone.

For such an article, there would need to be companion articles to complete a set.  Perhaps tail light restoration, gas tank restoration, headlight motor rebuilds, etc.

Just used Rodney's headlight rebuild kit on my '88.  Worked great.

I have been thinking about the October 2019 cover page.  If everyone sends me a picture of their Fiero from the same angle, I could make pieces from each Fiero into one Fiero, for a frankenfiero.  I have no idea how that would turn out, but it's a thought.

Nah.  I think a previous owner did the same rebuild, which is why i had to do it again.  Did you know it was possible to put one of those plastic cogs in sideways?

On the plus side, the passenger headlight was much easier than the videos said it would be and the clunking sound has disappeared.

Another Newsletter idea...

At the 35th, I heard there were classes on Fiero judging. 

What goes into judging a Fiero? What do judges look for?  What are typical Fiero categories?  Stock? Mod?  Heavy Mod? Light Mod?

Well, I was a judge at the 35th.  There were many classes.  Stock showroom, 3 classes of modified, 3 classes of custom, various stock and project classes, re-body classes, prototype classes, etc.  I have attended several judged shows.

The judges are given a sheet with scoring categories.  Some scoring sheets are better than others.  Considering that they didn't want us to have the scoring sheets beforehand, I'm thinking they wouldn't want that info published.

That's one thing that always annoyed me about the few judged shows that I've entered. The judging sheets are never available.
It would be nice to see what I got "dinged" on, and what they liked.
(I have a very good idea what my car's shortcomings were, to my mind's eye. Would be nice to see if the judges felt the same.)

'Tis why I seldom pay to enter judged shows any more. I just don't care that much. I'd rather just be there and enjoy the music and festivities, instead of detailing my car with effing Q-tips.

Newsletter again very useful.  I just put new leads on, carefully following the existing routing.. which is not as in the newsletter article, so some minor re routing to do.

Also enjoyed "Persimmons are best between when they fall off the tree and when they hit the ground." Haaaaaa
