May Club Meeting
« on: May 01, 2018, 06:44:21 pm »
Don't forget: 5/12 @1:30pm.

I'm looking forward to seeing the agenda for this meeting.

Will there be work on the club cars?

I dropped the security key for the lug nuts and the bolts for the end links at Michael's shop and will be going over there during or after the meeting, depending upon when we start, to finish removing the side scoop and to install the front end links.

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

I texted with him today.  He has the transmission in and plans to do a test drive this afternoon.  He hopes to have it ready to drive to the meeting Saturday as a shakedown run in preparation for the RFTH Scouting Trip on the 19th.

Possibly.  I'll be sure to take my cell phone along again, just in case we did something wrong and it leaves me stranded again.  My plans are to finish removing the side scoop, install the front end links, and swap out the tach filter to see if the tach will work properly.

The new fuel sending unit seems to be close to accurate.  We only put 5 gallons into the tank and it's reading just below 1/2 tank.  Needs to be topped off to prevent rust from forming, again.

Got Pat and Bob's Tshirts to deliver today.

He sat in construction traffic for several hours and finally had to turn around and go home.  Just talked to him and he said it did well, and didn't overheat in 90 degree weather.  New trans and clutch are working very smoothly and he's ready for next weekend.

Sorry to everyone I really tried to make it but after 2 1/2 hours and I was still (40 min away with no traffic) I figured  with what I was sitting in more like double that.

We were going to discuss
RFTH prerun
Club cars repairs and sale of
Club shirts
Ideas for the news letter

Apparently, you weren't destined to make it Saturday.  I'm just asking, but does the VP get a copy of the agenda, in case something like this happens?

The speaker is third in line. Who's the designated survivor?  Do we have a secret underground bunker somewhere?  That'd be cool!  Maybe buy a decommissioned underground missle silo, pump it out, and make a fiero-man cave out of it.
...just a thought.
