Sometimes it takes another set of eyes to see a fix.  The main thing is that you guys found the problem.

Old type or newer type?

Generation 1.
There are three kinds of men:

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Generation 1.

Refer to the drawing below. With the headlight open, connect the positive wire from a 12v battery or battery charger to the wire marked with a red +. Connect the negative wire to the wire marked with a green -. If the headlight goes down, the problem is the relay. If it doesn't go down, the problem is the motor, or the wiring to the motor.

The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

When we've done this on an off-meeting day, we usually get started about 10:00.  That makes it easier for us in the outlying areas to wake up before getting there.

Planning on being there, if the sky doesn't fall on us again. 10:00 sounds good.
I'll try to be on time. Remember, I'm coming from DNA. (That's "Damn Near Alabama.")

Have we got all the required bits and pieces?

If Michael got that other bolt for the alternator to engine bracket, I think we do.  He kept everything pretty well organized as he took the engine/cradle assembly out.

Forecast for Saturday is low to mid 70's in the morning and about 90 in the late afternoon.  Sunny.  No rain.

I know it's late notice, but Michael and I are going to try to get the Aerodonamic exhaust and transmission attached tomorrow, Saturday July 21.  Raydar will be there if his schedule permits.

Michael and I plan to be there about 10AM.  Would any of you like to join us to try to get Aerodonamic ready so Michael can do some test flights before Run For The Hills?

I'm not going to make RFTH, so don't throw in volunteer hours to get a car going that isn't going to make the run! The shop will be selling right around that time and I will have to make a lot of things happen on a very tight schedule.

The sale is supposed to go through in September. I can't come back up to Ball Ground Ga, that town ain't big enough for both of us!

PS...I found all the bolts you took off the engine and hid around the shop...I know you don't remember, but?
