1985 GT Automatic
$500 obo
Please save me from the crusher. I’m all original, my engine is blown my tires are flat and my owner has grown up and left me setting for too many years. My restoration has been replaced by a wife and 4 wonderful children. They need shoes and clothing more than I need a motor and other stuff.  It’s all of me are none, will not part me me out. Please save me.
No parts missing and clear title.

Another option would be donating your Fiero to the Club as a tax-deductible donation.   Might be worth more than you get from the crusher.

Can anyone confirm the Club can accept donations in a  tax-deductible manner?

Any pictures?  Maybe a link to pictures?

We can accept it as a donation, but currently, we have no place to store it and we still have the 3800 Formula that we need to get running and out the door.  We haven't had the time to work on it due to other projects and personal time of the members.

New to your web site. Does anyone in your club have a rebuilt V6 for a 1985GT?

Exactly what's wrong with your motor?  Any of the Fiero V6 motors will work in the car, as will a 93-95 Camaro or Firebird 3.4 V6.  Not exactly a drop in, but all the bolt on stuff from the Fiero engine will transfer to the 3.4 block, heads and oil pan.

If coolant is blowing out of the radiator, it would seem that either the radiator has holes, or the wrong cap is in use.  If blowing out of the overflow tank, a blockage in the coolant tubes.  The tubes aren't crushed, are they?  If the coolant does not flow, the engine will overheat.  Once the coolant blows out, there are air pockets in the system, and coolant won't circulate.

It would seem that the cat issue is separate.  How do you know it's burning out the cats?

Thanks for all the input. Ultimately all I need to to let this car go. Hopefully someone will want it . Before I send to the junk yard. If anyone wants to make offer that sis good, otherwise in about two weeks it’s going to be gone.

A little off topic, but when a cat burns out, it sends white powder out the exhaust. Been there, done that.

I'd forgotten about this one.  Wonder what happened.
