I'm sorry to hear that.
Try rerouting plug wires? (Last ditch "from the hip" suggestion.)

Welp, I might be going to this event sans sunroof.  Just replaced the gasket and I have about a 1/2" opening all around.  I knew it might not fit perfect, but I can't believe it's this much off.  Oh well, see you guys on Friday!

It's not mentioned in any instructions that come with new sunroof gaskets, but there is a front and back.  I've never seen a TFS gasket that had any indications of which was which.

Look at the gasket and you will see that one long edge has a higher lip on it than the other.  The high lip goes to the front.  That lets the glass sit down below the top edge to prevent air pressure and water from pushing in.

There is also a little plastic piece that goes into the roofline where the sunroof tabs insert.  If they are missing, the glass won't fully seat.  The tabs also have a plastic coating which helps to make things tighter.  BUT, the forecast is for clear skies.

Sunshyne is going into surgery today to get a new ACDelco Pro water pump, thermostat, caps and flush and fill. This after a complete front-end rebuild and 2 new front tires.

I'm expecting a trouble-free RFTH. Fingers crossed!

I won't be able to head for Ashville until about 3pm so I'll be a late show.

I think Steve and Scott are heading up about that time, too.  I don't remember what time Jason said he was leaving.

$114, plus 18% tax = $134.52
X2 = $269.04

Usually, I go the other way.  NIFE uses "Quality Inn", which looks and smells as if it was in a flood.  Cost is usually about $120 per night.  I usually choose a Residence Inn, which I get for a lesser rate, but it smells better, and is 20 minutes away.

Asheville is a very popular area.  Hotel rates usually run around $150 plus 18% tax.  Beginning around this time of the year, rates go on upward of $200 per night plus tax.  I got our group rate at $114 plus tax.  Scott got in after cutoff and couldn't get the discount.  He's across the street in another hotel.  As of tonight, our rooms are going for $161 plus tax.

Every time I have tried to make reservations, regardless of the hotel in NC, the call goes to a central booking agency.  It seems like NC has a contract with this booking agency.  Initially, this year, I spoke with the same person that I spoke with the last time we stayed in Asheville at Red Roof Inn.  This statewide booking agency gives very little discount on groups.  People have booked through other sources like travelocity and gotten better rates.

I have always managed to find a way to get direct to the hotel and book directly through them for lower rates than the booking agency discounts.

It is very annoying when the booking people are not on-site.  I'm not interested in dealing with an agency.  If the location can't take my call, they must not want my business.
