Scouting and Documentation For Run For The Hills 24

I will be conducting a scouting and documentation run for this year's Run For The Hills in just a couple of weeks. 

I plan to do the trip to Asheville, NC on May 18.  Several persons have already signed on to join with me.  This will be a one-day event.  Some new roads and some old roads in the program. 

I would like to meet at Exit 126, I-85 North, Chateau Elan Exit at 7 AM.  There is a RaceTrac station to the right of the exit.  This will afford us the easiest return to I-85.  We can top off fuel there then it's just over 100 miles to a good fuel stop just north of Greenville, SC where prices are a bit lower.  It will take us about 2 hrs. 45 mins. to get to Asheville, excluding gas stops. 

I have an empty seat and welcome anyone to ride along with me.  I will even navigate for a while if you want to drive.

This past weekend I rotated the tires on my yellow car, and yesterday I changed the oil. She's ready to go.

I dunno how you rotate tires on an '88.  Someone said something about side to side, but that doesn't make sense to me.

On the GT due to the staggered size and offset, and on 86 & 87 GT's due to the staggered sizes, if you don't have directional tires, you can simply swap sides with the wheels and tires but not front to rear.  If they're directional tires, you must dismount to swap sides. 

The Formulas had the same wheels as the 88GT, so the same applies to them.  The Coupe had the same size tires, wheels, and offset, front and rear so you can rotate them in the standard rotation pattern as most other vehicles.

Mine has aftermarket wheels, all the same, so it really doesn't matter that it's a coupe. The wheel mounting hubs are the same as on a GT or Formula. It rides and handles just fine with wheels that are all the same on it.
