How will the C8 Corvette affect the Fiero?

Ideas have been brought up for stickers promoting the Fiero as the C8 mule.

Over the years, I've had to waste many hours removing decals and stickers from vehicles, on both the body and the windows.  The idea of bringing this on myself is unpleasant.

I would only put something on the window if it was magnetic, meaning that there was something on the other side of the window to hold it in place.

Yeah, I was trying to conceptualize how the decals would work.  I don't want anything permanent, don't usually put sticky decals on my vehicles, but magnetic won't work, either.  Actually, my work offered to pay me to put magnetic signs on my truck.  I refused.

I would still like to, at some point, buy a C8 (base model, used) and stick Fiero badges all over it. :D

All kidding aside, based upon the fact that there has been a not-so-small industry built up around the creation of Trans Am "knockoffs", built on new Camaro platforms, I don't have any trouble believing that some entity will create a latter-day Fiero, based on the C8.
Of course, it will be hellishly expensive, so the original (unstated) purpose of the Fiero will not apply.
Regardless, I'll bet they sell a few of them.

Corvette panels aren't removable like the Fiero's are they?  If not it would entail a whole frame off rebody, or will the C8 be bodied like the Fiero?

I suspect it will be much like the current Corvette (and Camaro, for that matter.) I would expect at least the front and rear bumper covers to be removable, for collision repair, etc. If that's the case, I would think that different covers wouldn't be too difficult.
With that said, I haven't been close enough - even to a C7 - to see how the bumpers are done. So I could easily be wrong.

Maybe this isn't the C8 but the F2?

If everything works out, with the help of a couple of friends, I will be able to show one of the earliest C8's at the GM Nationals show next month.

There were multiple Corvette prototypes, including mid-engine, that never made it to production.  This is why we're only up to C7.

Since the 1989 F2 never entired production, I'd have to call the new C8 the F2.

There once was a car with a V8
Chevy thought it was great
even though the engine was misplaced
Don't worry, they fixed it
36 years late.

Here you go:
There once was a car with a V8
Chevy, they thought it was great
Though the engine was misplaced
That error soon erased
But 36 years too late.

I've asked the National Corvette Museum if they'll have a Fiero display at the unveiling of the C8, in order to trace GM's evolution of mid-engine design.

They didn't say 'no'.  The did say they don't 'know'.

Perhaps something will happen if multiple folks ask about a Fiero display.
