During a Fiero discussion, someone claimed that the recall issue with early Fieros was due to coolant issues. This was a new one on me. Anyne heard of this?

One of the problems was that if the engine slung a rod and ruptured the coolant chambers, coolant could be dumped onto the catalytic converter and cause a fire. That's all I remember about coolant being an issue, though an indirect one.

Right. The way this guy described things, it was as if there were cracked heads or something. Coolant in the combustion chamber. Also an indirect issue.
