Any Competent Transmission Rebuilders in Atlanta area?
« on: September 07, 2019, 11:06:05 pm »
Having a Quaife and lower final drive installed into my saab F40 soon which obviously requires modest tear down and replacement of many consumable parts and proper reshimming and preloading.

Does anyone know of a quality transmission rebuilder in the N Atlanta area?  I have one in mind locally, rather competent actually, but does almost entirely daily driver rebuilds.

Thanks!
M

Not local, but I have used Jasper, and there is also a rebuilder in Indiana.

Call Howell Transmission in Cumming, have used them several times for automatics, not sure if he does standards anymore or not

Just following up on this thread... talked to the owner/operator of http://www.georgiaprecisiongear.com/  and will be going with him/them... their reviews are stellar, although most of his work is on longitudinal cases he's well versed in the 282, F23, F35, M32, and F40 and has very fair prices as well...

I'll let everyone know how it goes...
