Interior Skeleton For Sale
« on: March 12, 2020, 02:14:34 pm »

This is the long plastic piece that fits between the seats and supports the radio/AC controls.

Took this out of my '88 and replaced it with a better one.  That said, the old skeleton worked well for years and probably would have been fine for the life of my car.  However, I knew it was cracked and wanted to replace it.

The top two horizontal bars -- the ones surrounding the A/C are cracked through although still supported on one side.  There's another partial crack near where the skeleton goes from horizontal to vertical.  Many of the screw holes are also cracked (No, I didn't do all the damage).

Since you've read this far we can now discuss price. How does this sound, make me an offer.  I know these things are getting rare and putting it in the trash would be a waste.

Email for pics.

If you send the pics, I'll post them.  I'm curious about repairing the skeleton.

Looking at the pics, repair would seem to be minor.

If there is something that isn't correct, and I know it isn't correct, it irks me.  I do my best to correct it.

You hardly would ever know the skeleton is bad until you had to go into the console for something else.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Yeah.  Then it would irk all the irkable parts of your person forever after.

I used to live in blissful ignorance of the condition of the metal bracket above the HVAC.  One day, johnny posted a few images of his.  I had a suspicion.  Sure enough, mine, too.  Eventually, I tore that area apart and fixed that.  Lately, wire loom is irking me.

Interesting... I'm in the opposite situation... My 88 skeleton is in great shape but have an aftermarket dash to go in eventually that requires cutting it up...

What do you want for it so that I could cut that one and make sure someone who's is really out of sorts gets mine...?

Make an offer and cover shipping and/or gas.
Seriously.
Doubt if I'll say no.

I live near Augusta.  Maybe we can meet in the middle?

Wanna say $20?

If you feel like haggling we'll start at $25, then settle at $20.

I feel like haggling.  I just want to see if it can be repaired.
