FieroFool,

I was thinking more about the squirrelyness of the SE we were working on this past weekend.  On top of the less than optimal left rear cradle bolt solution we found, what condition are the cradle bushings?

For years, I had been wondering about road squirrels.  Apparently, they just need some bushings.

It seems that this poor Fiero got pushed around a lot.  In one pic, the lift is well in the background, but in another pic, the Fiero is on the lift.

it is easy to move when ya gots one of these:

it also makes them easy to load on a rollback

FieroFool,

Not sure if you're willing to throw down $40-60$ for a set of poly cradle bushings from ProThane but if anyone has a spare set or if anyone has some urethane mix we could perhaps mold a set for pennies on the dollar.
Edit: Furthermore, I've read where you can stack and weld jumbo washers in the pockets to get a solid mount like the 88's.  Might be even cheaper...

food for thought....

Does anyone have a pair of bushings for the back end of the cradle?  If you do, I'll trade you a full set for them.  ProThane called me and said they were out of stock and my bushings wouldn't be available for another 2 to 4 weeks.

How hard is it to just tip the cradle down and swap out the rear bushings at a later date, keeping in mind of the cage nut repair that's being done?  I don't want to put solid bushings in.  The car is apparently lowered and rides harshly enough as it presently sits.
FieroFool,

For years, I had been wondering about road squirrels.  Apparently, they just need some bushings.

I never gave thought to where this description might have originated, but now, I can imagine it's because of the way a squirrel darts back and forth across the roadway, usually not ending well.
