Tammy said that Sams has plenty. TP and paper towels.  You can buy it by the bale.

I want to thank everyone for coming out yesterday. Its good to see everyone getting out and about again.

I also need to say thanks for the TP..... should be enough to last a couple of meetings

I believe it was agreed that we will do it again in June?

I would also like to extend a special thanks to Mark (mweldon) and Zack (NoMad) for all the work they did.  Two talented guys.  If they're ever unemployed they can make a living doing automotive repair of almost any kind.

It seems that this poor Fiero got pushed around a lot.  In one pic, the lift is well in the background, but in another pic, the Fiero is on the lift.

It got pushed even more than you see.  When the drivetrain was dropped, the car was lowered onto a buggy and pushed back to the end of the building where the front of the car is pointed.  The drivetrain and replacement engine were located near the chain hoist.

I was thinking more about the squirrelyness of the SE we were working on this past weekend.  On top of the less than optimal left rear cradle bolt solution we found, what condition are the cradle bushings?

Not sure if you're willing to throw down $40-60$ for a set of poly cradle bushings from ProThane but if anyone has a spare set or if anyone has some urethane mix we could perhaps mold a set for pennies on the dollar.  I know when I rebuilt an 87GT suspension from top to bottom 25 years ago, koni, eibachs, bearings, new control arm bushings, and needle bearings in the rear LCA's the squirrelyness did not go away until I replaced the cradle bushings...

Edit: Furthermore, I've read where you can stack and weld jumbo washers in the pockets to get a solid mount like the 88's.  Might be even cheaper...

I finally got the handling problem resolved.  I chased Scott's 86SE, Jason's 3800SC and Jordan's 85GT through The Dragon without any issues.  I had a set of ProThane Reds for the rear of the cradle, but I don't know what I did with them.  I'll order a kit.  I don't care to go through the trouble of replacing the bushings in the front of the cradle, though so someone can have those if they want.  It's just more time that the shop is tied up.  We need to get Scott's Formula clutch replaced.

Hey Mark, forgot to say it was good to meet you..... sitting here thinking about it, I wonder if that bolt had worked loose and was letting the cradle move? I had driven that car before and it break loose for what seemed ti be no reason.

Charlie... If you're going to replace cradle bushings, you ought to just get solid aluminum pieces.
Remember, the 88 cradles are solid mounted, right out of the box.
Just an opinion.
