LQ1/DOHC exhaust stud length?
« on: April 29, 2020, 05:12:02 pm »
I am piecing together all the last little bits I need and can't seem to find the length of the studs. Anyone got one handy to measure? I know they are M8 x 1.25 but not the length.

Thank you.

Raydar maybe?

I'll have to check, tonight. Are yours 91-95? Or 96-97? (I'm not sure if it matters, but mine is a 96-97.)

They are 91-95 heads. But even a measure of the external length would be a great help.

Sorry... Had to go and do some last minute touch-up to the "old" house, this evening. It hit the market today.
I'll check tomorrow.

Since it sounds like you might be going into the engine, you might find this of interest. An entire(?) GM head gasket kit for $60.

I am, but already have my gaskets. I got all felpro off rock Auto and the price was great.

I also finally got the stud length so no need to worry. Thank you for the effort though.

Just in case anyone needs the info later the studs are 45mm overall.
