Just a few comments. Some things to consider for the actual run.
1. I tested the hotel situation. There are rooms available. Really no breakfast, though. Public areas of the hotels are closed. Lots of plastic shields in use.
2. Restaurants are mostly drive-through. No bathrooms or ways to wash hands. No trash cans. So, people are eating in the parking lots.
3. Some restaurants are open, but short-staffed. There aren't many patrons, either, but many tables are blocked off. Menus are interesting.
4. Gas stations are a mixed bag. Some gas stations are open, others closed. Many stations are open for gas only. No restrooms. Some gas stations have restrooms open. There are a lot of plastic shields. If feels as if you're in a high-crime area.
5. Traffic seems to be a bit lighter, but police are patroling in regular numbers. For some reason, wrecked vehicles take much longer to clear.
6. Parks are open. Facilities are not.
7. Some people wore masks, but the majority did not.
8. Some states are much more closed up than others.
9. There are many, many RVs on the roads, but only about half of the usual number of big rigs.
For the people who are coming from out of town, pit stops will have to be planned carefully, and verified.
Something else that happened, was that my vehicle was egged. Twice. I did not appreciate this. I do not know why. It may have had nothing to do with COVID.
