Wheels
« on: June 19, 2020, 09:13:46 pm »
I am looking for a set of the gray GT wheels for an 86. I may only need a pair if the two in Dallas GA are good. Will the fronts from an 88 work?

The front wheels from an 88 are narrower and have a different offset.  On anything other than an 88, they would be set inward as compared to the 86 or 87 wheel.  They will work, but they would look a little odd.  88 wheels also only came in black or gold, not in gray.

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

I have a full set but they are from an 88. They do have a brand new set of tires on them.

I have the old wheels off my white car, and a few other miscellaneous GT type wheels either on the side of the house or in the barn. They are all black. I might even have enough of the wider ones to make up a complete set for an 86-87.
