Unidentified fasteners

I have 2 fasteners that look like those used to attach the tail lights, but aren't those. At first, I thought I had 2 of those that were broken, but these are a different design. Any idea what these could be?

They could be fasteners for notchie taillights. They look the same, but I believe they are shorter.

Hopefully, this will help. A few pictures. One is the fastback fastener, and the other is the mystery fastener or clip or whatever.

Anyone know if the smaller fastener is from a notchback?

Yes, they are for the notchback tail lights. The spring tab in your first picture that has the split is where the shoulder of the bolt is held to keep it from backing out. The fastback has a longer and wider spring tab though the overall fastener isn't much bigger. I just placed 2 tail lights side by side to compare.

I didn't notice that. Now that you mention it, I can tell that in the first picture.

The lingering question is, how did those come into my posession? I realize no one here can answer that. There must have been some miscellaneous parts that included these.

Perhaps the oddest part is that I only have 2 of these fasteners. I would have expected to have either 3 or 6 of them.
