Today is the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. Thanks to all who served then, including my dad.

76 years and 1 month ago I was born, and on this day and for months afterward my Dad was still in Luzon, Philippines fighting holdout Japanese soldiers.  I don't know when the war actually ended for his First Army battalion and they were discharged.
