Likely that's a radio conversion harness.  Crutchfield.com or ReplacementRadios.Com will have a plug and play radio harness that plugs right into the Fiero's factory harness.  I have a similar mess in my 86 with additional wires run all through the console and who knows where.  I just stuck a radio in the hole to hide the mess until I can solder in the original connectors.

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Thought it went with the 80’s vibe. Plus the interior will be black and gold eventually. No affiliation with GA tech. Just like the color scheme

Anyone else go to buy one thing at Fiero store and accidentally spend $280?

Well, I have bought several things from that individually cost more than that, so, yes.

I usually have several saved carts with groups of things.  Unfortunately, I wait too long on some carts, and the dollar total drops, as products go away.

Finally got the bulb sockets. So radio and bulb install. Why do I have so many extra screws?!?!?

I made a cut so I could see the new tach adjustment screw and status led. And now she is drivable.

That's pretty cool! I added a multi-turn resistor to my tach (it was never "calibrated" when the 4.9 was swapped in, and I knew damn well that the 4.9 wasn't spinning to 6000, although it looked impressive. :D ). but mine is just hanging by the wires. Not nearly as nice as that.

Well I bought that from West coast Autoparts. Got to give them credit. I just made the access holes.

Your HVAC surround bracket looks a bit rusty.

Would that tach board work for yours?
