Because work operates on two separate teams and people have been cross contaminating and taking out whole departments. I can do anything I want within a 200 mile range, but if I pass on Covid and my team goes down than any gathering I have attended could get me fired for endangering the team. So I am just playing it ultra safe with gatherings. This is a once in a lifetime gig and I don't want to lose it.

How many people are you planning to fit in the room?

Depends on the number but I have three locations reserved for me. Cozy 10, 25 bigger room, 25-50 big dining room.

That gives us something to shoot for.  50 seems ambitious.  If 10 club members attend, and the average people per club member is 3, that is 30 people.

Will there be a meeting, as part of this event?

Ralph, I truly appreciate you doing all of this, but I am (we are) unfortunately, going to have to pass, this time.
This is due to some personal health risk factors that we'd rather not compromise. (It sucks getting old, but it beats the alternative.)

Getting younger would be great. I just don't know of anyone who has it perfected, over the long term, yet. (Although I've read some stuff on the internet. )

Room for 25 is most likely going to be big enough.  I think with family, the one for 10 wouldn't work.  We've had that many just at a monthly meeting.

GTRS, yes, there should be a brief business meeting.  Directors have to choose their Chairman and Vice Chairman, and there's at least the Polar Bear Run to discuss.  See the Polar Bear Run thread in Events for details.

I think I am just going to use the dining room since set up will already be done. Plus we can open the side doors if we want. Also there is a nice serving area. It seats 80+ pre COVID so 30-40 safely.

I will have to pass on the meeting.  Ro and I are staying away from friends and family.  We are wanting to stay safe for as long as we can, don't want to do something that will get us in trouble.  You all have a good time (which I know you will) and hopefully you will be safe

A reminder that if you're going to the Christmas Party, you must register with Ralph through the link he provided in the first post of this thread.  Posting in this thread that you are or might attend isn't sufficient for him to make the necessary arrangements and purchase and prepare the proper amount of food.

Saturday the 28th is the deadline.  At the moment there are only 5 people total that are registered.
