There was an amazing turnout. So many cool cars. A few new but a lot of old. My favorite was an old blue Porsche SC I believe. The route in theory was great but I do have a few gripes.
The directions were printed out, I took this as a lesson that we should make google maps that we can share so we are all on the same route.
That brings me to the next one, I know not much could be done about it but rolling out was confusing. Hard to line up and we left in stages. Gabe and I missed the first turn and had to loop back. The lesson is we should, on larger runs, have someone direct people to line up and stage groups leaving. Just getting into line was hard.
Lastly was the ice. We had too many close calls. Gabe almost became unintentional best friends with a Mini Cooper and I went sideways... skid marks not just on the road. Yes I understand that it couldn’t really be helped but if I knew how bad it was I would’ve abstained from the run. Too many people had no clue how to handle the ice and it’s not worth risking my life because of their inexperience.
I know a lot of gripes but I wanted everyone to know what to potentially expect and some good lessons to learn.
I sent GTRS Fiero some photos but I’ll post my absolute favorite with zero bias.
