My son has been zooming into school sans pants, nobody has noticed yet so I'd say they are optional.

Someone at the meeting will have to have a Zoom account if that's used, then they will need to publish the account number and access number in this thread.  Just having the app on a device only allows you to tune in to a meeting.  It doesn't support starting a meeting.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Just throwing this out there.  I do not have Zoom for myself, but do have Teams.  I can host a Teams session, but it's harder to use than Zoom.  You have to download the application/app, and you have to use a Microsoft account to connect.

We can get a free zoom account or buy a membership as a club. I know we want in person meetings but this is a brave new world. Could be just offer for the sick and out of towners.

Free Zoom has limits, like 40 minutes.  Ideally, hosted by someone at the meeting.

That’s why I think the club buying a one year membership might be a good idea. Might be a discount for non profits

Agreed.  Zoom is also easier to use--and more prevalent.

At $149 per year I think it’s worth it. Plus all you need is a computer (with or without webcam) or phone/tablet with app. The participants don’t require an account. Again pre meeting we’d just ask those sick or out of town to just request the link. If WiFi is available we can bring a laptop and external camera on a tripod.

I like the idea of a zoom option for the meetings. Due to COVID I have only been able to travel to Atlanta once this past year and am not sure when I will be back. With zoom at least I will be able to participate on some level.

Unfortunately no decision was made before the meeting. The Board did decide to try Microsoft Teams as there is no cost or limits that would affect us.
