One thing the lockdowns improved was car show turnout.

Paul, you are east of Carlisle.  Several of us are just on the western outskirts of Carlisle and a little south in Shippensburg.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Pat's sharing with me at the event host Fairfield Inn on Commerce Ave. in Carlisle.  Just off I-81 Exit 44.  I don't remember where JayDog is staying but it's within 7 minutes of the show.  Joe Doctor is down in Shippensburg which is about 30 miles south on I-81.

I'm trying to set up group spaces for the club.  I need to know how each of you registered your car.  What class.

This is who is attending so far.  What class?
Joe Doctor
JayDog
Art Doctor
TopNotch
Headhunter
PGAckerman
Fierofool--stock or daily driver

After talking with Jennifer, Joe, Pat, Jay and Paul will not be located with Me, Gabe and Larry.  They have obvious mods.

I'm pretty sure I registered my car as a modified daily driver. Although technically it's not a daily driver now, because I put collector car insurance on it. Besides, since I'm retired now, I don't need a daily driver.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

Paul's has the 7730 with digital EGR.  If it was like mine, appearing factory with the stock EGR, they will allow it as stock.

I'm retired, too, but my Fiero is my go-to vehicle any time I go somewhere that doesn't require the truck.  It might not be driven in a week but it's still my daily driver.

This update from Dennis LaGrua on Pennocks:

The way it is shaping up this will probably the largest gathering of Fieros East of the Mississippi ever. Jen should post the pre-registration number shortly but based upon what I have heard the climb to 150 or more seems very likely.
Pre-registration ends on Monday May 24th but if you miss that deadline date you can always register the day of the show Sat June 26th at the front gate. If you register the day of the show please mention MAFOA. Carlisle 2021 is going to be an absolutely incredible show. There should also be over 4000 other GM cars there exhibiting, celebrity guests, tables/booths for dealers that sell parts, books, tools, and accessories. There is even a woman's oasis tent that sells products for the ladies who aren't classic car lovers. The long food court under the grandstand serves a wide variety of good food at very fair prices. There is also an authentic Southern style BBQ stand not far from the food court that is our favorite.
If you are going, be sure to book your lodging reservations now. Hotel rooms in the area fill up at show times and can be hard to find.

Mine falls under modified...

I have reservations for my son and I at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Carlisle.

Looks like Eric and I are leaving on Wednesday around lunch and driving to Roanoke to stay the night (about 5 hours).  Then we can get up in the morning Thursday, have breakfast, and take our time heading into Carlisle which would be about 4 and half hours from there.

For those who might want to caravan to Carlisle, I plan on leaving the RaceTrac gas station, 5901 Hwy 53, Braselton , I-85 Exit 129 at 7 AM on the morning of the 25th.  I only stop for fuel, snack and bathroom break.  I don't stop for lunch, just using the snack to get me through the trip.

If all goes well, that should put us into Carlisle somewhere between the hours of 5 and 7 PM.  Anyone is welcome to tag along with me.

There's a decent Super 8 in Daleville/Troutville just north of Roanoke.  Even has a good Mexican place across the parking lot.  Not much of a breakfast, but I haven't stayed at any hotel for the past year with much of a breakfast.
