Steve, what I remember of the car is that the rear clip wasn't badly damaged.  There was a little damage to the roofline above the rear window.  The rear window did shatter, but that might have been due to water hitting a hot window.  There really wasn't a lot of fire damage inside the car, so I think the window was intact until the water hit it.  One of the buttresses was in good condition.  The trunk carpeting wasn't harmed/burned.  The fire didn't get through to the fender wells.  Paul may be able to send you a picture.

Found this thread about the fire, with pictures.

There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

The car has several parts (like the rockers & 1/4's) already removed. Plus theres nothing to save in the engine compartment so we can cut any hanging wires & all rubber hoses. I think 4 people could have the rear clip cut off in about 2 hours.
Put it on jackstands, have one person go to work on the rear wheels & inner liners, another on the gas tank & coolant tubes, another in the interior on the seats, 4 plastic trim pieces, & seat belts, & the fourth on the taillights, rear bumper, & reinforcement. We can leave the rear (roof) clip on the frame along with the gas filler tube. Whoever gets done first can start on the shift cable, brake line (I'd like to save that for my VW) & the 4 cradle bolts & 6 strut nuts. Cut the top off of the sail panels & horizontal lines at the bottom of the rear window & across the floor pan & it's done. We don't even have to slide the cradle out, just lift the clip off of it.
This way everyone is working on separate areas & keeping social distancing.
I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple of things...
You DO have some "demolition" blades for your sawzall, right Steve? ;-)

One other thing. Maybe someone could ship the gas tank to GTRS so he won't have to drive the 20 hours (ouch!). We only need three people other than myself to get this done.   :P

Shipping is expensive.  Not sure gas tanks are legal to ship.

Other issues:
1. I have to stop about every hour.  This is something that developed in the last week.
2. I only have 1 vehicle that can carry a gas tank: my truck.

My truck needs tires.  Unfortunately, these stock tires are special--so special, in fact, that only one place makes the tires.  Unfortunately, that place is closed for COVID, and the tires are out of stock everywhere.  My tires are not down to the wear indicators, but this is my daily driver, so I need the tires to last.  I drive my truck a bit more than 3K miles per month, so tires only last a bit more than a year (about 65K miles).

Just a standard truck, I thought.  Stock tires.  A set runs about $1,800.  14-ply.  20-inch.

They ride very rough.  I'd like to change to higher-profile tires.  I'm used to paying about $1,500 for a set of truck tires.

No.  Just a half-ton, with heavy-duty brakes, a tow package, and goofy wheels.

I wouldn't be putting 14 ply tires on a 1/2 ton, my 3/4 ton Dodge doesn't have those. I'm sure you can find a better tire for it somewhere...... and they shouldn't $1500 either

Well, cheap tires for my Avalanche could run less.  Junk brands. Toyo, Yokohama, and the like.  I used Michelin.  This truck has beefier tires.

On another note, do you have any of the slide lock fender vents in stock?  if not what's necessary to put in an order?  :)

Sent you a PM.

I had good luck, and good life, from Yokohamas on my old Sonoma. They were low profile passenger car tires, however. 245/50-16.
Toyos, OTOH, are probably the worst tires I have ever owned. Even the "softer compound" low profile tires were hard as a rock. downright noisy, and really frightening in the rain. This was on my G6. The Toyos on my truck ('05 Silverado 1500) were good for keeping the rim off the ground, and not much else.

I had parked my truck, because the cords were showing, and I still can't get the right tires.  In the meantime, I had been driving my wife's truck, but she needed her truck today.

Obviously, I need my own ride, so tires must be found.  I found tires for about $800 that will physically fit, but no shop will mount the tires, if I take the truck in.  So, I had to take the wheels off the truck, and haul the wheels to the tire shop.  Of course, everywhere is backed up, so it will be a few days until I can get the wheels back.  Meanwhile, my truck is sitting on jack stands.

I try to be legal, but these tires are not, for my truck.  I hope there are no issues.

Don't tire shops there let you make appointments? When I recently got new tires for my yellow Fiero, I made an appointment with the tire shop online. The appointment was foe a couple of days later, and they did the job in a reasonable amount of time, while I had lunch. For Fieros, I remove the wheels and take them to the tire shop in my SUV. No risk to my coolant pipes that way.
