Not anytime soon. ;-(
I'll need about a grand & I still owe $469 last year's property tax. Plus my friend with a pickup died so I have no way to pick up the materials once I get the money (if I ever do).
Really sucks that materials cost so much...

Hopefully our stripping party :D will help out...

Anyone have an idea as to when we want to all come out and make that happen?

I don't think Raydar has decided if he wants the rear clip or not...

But... I'm out of materials & won't be able to make any new parts for a while.

I've wanted to add those to my Fiero, but lack the skill to do so.

I'm curious when that will be, myself.

Covid is the prime consideration. I know people who have died. I'm not in that much of a hurry to do this. Just not. (My apologies if I'm holding up the show.)

The other consideration is that I'm almost 3 hours away from Paul's.
I don't mind helping to strip a car, but I don't want to make the drive two days in a row, if it runs long.
I also have to "sawzall" the azz off the car, once it's all disassembled. That, by itself, could run into some time, even though it could be done (theoretically) with just two cross-cuts. (I tried cutting the rear quarter off of a Miata, once. Was a lot more trouble than you might expect. Certainly more than *I* expected.)

I also have a bunch of stuff piled on my trailer, that I have to get removed. (Not anybody's problem but my own. But still...) I'm not entirely sure about the rear 1/3 of a space frame fitting in a 5.5' crew cab bed. Will be a lot easier to load onto a trailer, anyway.

So... that's MY story.

Not holding up *my* show.  Getting a fuel tank out is one thing.  Getting it back here is quite another.  Something like 20 hours, round trip, plus removing the tank.

And it's cold outside.

If anybody's interested, there's a fuel tank in my parts car.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

There are several things in play.
1. Your parts Fiero could run again.  MWeldon may be interested.
2. Tha Driver apparently needs the money.
3. The only thing wrong with my tank is that is has a broken baffle, so I am not in a hurry, but do want to correct this issue.
4. For me, getting time to drive there and such will likely be the hardest part.
5. Did I mention the cold?
6. Likely, I would go as part of Raydar's project.
7. If I am there, others may not go, due to COVID risks.  I can wear a mask, but not for long, and certainly not while exerting myself.  Being honest, people from other areas are an increased risk.

I guess one question is how bad the damage is, from the fire.
Was the rear clip damaged? The roof panel? Any interior pieces?
Did the back window shatter?

If pieces like the rear clip don't have to be removed "gracefully", it will save a great deal of time. Obviously, we don't want to trash good pieces that Paul could sell.
