New Member!
« on: March 16, 2021, 04:33:42 pm »
I just wanted to introduce myself. My family and I are getting ready to make move to the Newnan area soon. My wife is already working at the Piedmont hospital as an RN. I am packing the house in New Mexico and getting it ready to sell.

I can see some names I recognize from Pennocks. I am also part of Pennocks with the same screen name. Looking forward to having more Fiero folks around me. 😀

Hello there,

I recognise you as a long time PFF'er.

Hope the move goes smooth.

Please tell us about your Fiero, or what you want if you don't already have one.

Welcome South, Brother.  Now the drive won't be so bad going to Carlisle.  You will also have about 4 of our members very near you.  Raydar, Wreck It Ralph, Headhunger1ID, and Cdepoy84.  I also spoke with another last night that's in Newnan and will be joining us, soon.

Get that Fiero here before April 17 and you can do a RFTH trial run with us.

3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Wish I could be here for the RFTH but sadly that is not going to happen. Waiting for my sons bball season to stary and finish. New Mexico is well behind the curve on sports playing for the youth.

To answer the questions about cars. I have my personal 87 GT, that is currently having an  88 cradle and 4.9/F40 swap. I have an 88 CJB notch that I rescued in Sacramento and will need to be restored. I will then let me son have it.

Carlise will be much closer, haha. I went in 2019 and got the longest drive hands down. I registered for this year but just not sure if I will make it based on everything I have going on.

RFTH is the 4th weekend in September.  We'll expect you there.

Generally, attending the meeting that month is a good idea.

It's official now! We closed on our house in Senoia Monday.  I suppose that makes me a member of the walkersnow, ha. Movers will be here the 5th of August.

Now it's time to get my cars from Warner Robins and my parts out of storage.

A few of us are going up to scout 1 road on August 7.  Try and join us.

Missed you at Carlisle.  I was in the tent when you were awarded the long distance traveler award.  I thought I was going to get it until Jennifer told me where you were coming from.  Missed you again this year.

No worries, we have plenty of time to catch up. Not sure if I will have time to do any lengthy driving. Getting the house in order, kid in school, and making sure my wife is taking care of is a full time job. (She is a nurse fulltime).

We will be leaving Gainesville about 10 and should be back around 5.  One road I have in the route is pretty rough and we're going to check out another road that runs parallel on the other side of the ridge.  Then have lunch in Cashiers and return.

Is this message in the wrong topic? Is this about a trial run? If so, on what day? My white car is not drive-able now because I'm putting in a low mount alternator mod, and running into a few difficulties.
